Fullstack Job: Senior Software Engineer, (Fullstack) Growth

TLDR: We're looking for an experienced data driven Engineer with full stack engineering expertise together with A/B testing exposure and either experience, or interest in the growth engineering domain.

The team.

The Growth team at Postman focuses on driving key business metrics through rapid experimentation, data-driven decision making & qualitative user research. The Growth team's cross-functional squads collaborate to improve new user & team experiences by minimizing friction around onboarding, activation, conversion, & expansion for our users.

Due to continuous investment, and expansion we're looking for experienced Frontend, data driven Software Engineers to join our squad where you'll contribute new ideas, implement A/B/n & multivariate experiments and focus on using data to help you make the right decisions as to how to improve the Postman product.

You'll have a strong frontend engineering background (React.js/JavaScript) and will thrive on working in a fast paced environment where you will be working on multiple experiments at any given time. Preferably you'll have some previous experience of running experiments, A/B testing and using data to help you make decisions.

What You'll Do.

• Create and maintain foundational backend service written in Node.js
• Create and maintain user-facing, reusable frontend components written in Javascript / React.js in the Postman application
• Create abstractions, libraries, and tools that enable rapid implementation of experiments and analytics tracking across Postman
• Support Postman's integrations and usage of third-party tools such as Amplitude, Iterable, and LaunchDarkly
• Support teams across Postman who want to design and implement experiments by providing documentation and training for our services and recommended best practices
• Support teams across Postman who want to design and implement experiments by providing technical reviews of their implementation plans and code reviews of their PRs
• Assist with Feature Management (i.e. Feature Flags / Feature Toggles) within the code and in LaunchDarkly
• Assist with product analytics instrumentation and reporting within the code and in Amplitude

About you.

• 3 years + full stack engineering experience.
• Node.js experience (or another backend technology using Java, .NET, Ruby, Python, etc.)
• React.js experience (or another similar Javascript framework)
• Experience building and migrating data in relational databases
• Experience using event-based analytics and integration tools such as Amplitude, Segment, or Mixpanel
• Experience or strong interest in working on a platform team
• Alignment with Postman values

• Experience developing an experimentation (A/B testing) platform, at scale
• Experience being a Postman user
• Experience working for a product-led growth (PLG) organisation
• Experience implementing, running, and debugging experiments (A/B tests)
• Experience building and migrating data in non-relational datastores
• Experience with feature management tools such as LaunchDarkly
• Experience doing data management: database migrations, ETL, dbt, data pipelines, etc
